What commissions affect

Commissions decide whether this site can exist. They do not decide what we recommend. Rankings and awards are finalised before affiliate links are added, a retailer paying a higher rate never moves a product up a list, and we recommend products with no affiliate program when they are the right answer.

Pricing

We deliberately avoid quoting exact prices because they change daily across retailers. Where a price bracket appears, it reflects the product's position in its category at the time the guide was last updated, and every retailer link shows you the live price before you buy anything.
